In the serenity of unspoiled open country, the
" Train of the Bas-Berry " has its origin in the station of
Argy, where there is also a splendid castle to visit, just a step away from the Regional Natural reserve of la Brenne. The line runs through the town of
Pellevoisin (a village loaded with history). The train continues its way through fields and forests before arriving at the village of
Heugnes, a village famous for its carillon. Then, after making its way through hilly countrysite, our little train finally reaches
Ecueillé, our technical center and main station of the network. It is also the current point of departure of trains.
In an easterly direction (opposite direction from Argy), our train serves a leisure center at
La Foulquetière. This site offers noumerous activities such as hikings trails, as well as a beautiful lake
where water sports such as bathing, pedal boating, camping sites, a restaurant with all facilities
available. But that's not the end for our train, as it pursues its tortuous way through open fields before
reaching the town of Lucay-le-Mâle, the end of the line. The town offers others points of interests such
as a "Flint-Rifle" Museum, and some 10 km away you will be able to visit the city of
Valençay with its
superb castle, not to forget anothers interesting visit,
the Museum of the automobile.
